"Treating stomach or intestinal cancer often involves a few different kinds of therapy. That’s why it’s so important to customize care to your specific needs."

– ROBERT ZAIDEN, MD, Hematologist Oncologist

Why choose Baptist MD Anderson?

Advanced Treatment & Care

All of our patients receive care based on the same protocols and practice standards provided at MD Anderson Cancer Center. We follow an evidence-based, multidisciplinary model of care. That means we meet regularly as a group to discuss your individual case. During these scheduled meetings, all of treating physicians and healthcare professionals go in-depth and work together on your treatment plan.

With your team of doctors and support staff in one location, scheduling appointments is much easier. A nurse navigator will also be assigned to your case to guide you through every step of the way. Our navigators offer education, coordinate appointments and support you and your family.

Your physical, emotional and spiritual needs are important, too. Your care plan includes support services from social workers, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists and chaplains. Our survivorship services and prevention programs are also available to provide care at every stage.
