Caring for you every step of the way
Our Approach to Blood & Lymphatic Cancer
When faced with a diagnosis of a blood or lymphatic cancer, you need a team of experts taking care of you. At Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, we use advanced technology to precisely diagnose and treat cancer. Here, you have access to targeted treatments, including the latest clinical trial therapies, to help you fight cancer.
Our approach to cancer treatment is the same practice standards provided at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Because of our partnership, our patients benefit from MD Anderson clinicians and researchers, too.
“Cancer is one of life’s top stressors and turns your world upside down. I work with you to help ease your worries and serve as your coach throughout your battle with cancer.”
– EDWARD GORAK, DO, MBA, MS, FACP, Hematologist Oncologist
Why choose Baptist MD Anderson?
Advanced Treatment & Care
Our patients benefit from an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach. That means your case is discussed in detail at regularly scheduled conferences attended by all treating physicians and other healthcare professionals. Your team of doctors and support staff are in one location, so you won’t have to travel all over town. A nurse navigator is assigned to each patient to provide education, coordinate appointments, and support you every step of the way.
Your physical, emotional and spiritual needs are important, too. Our support services include social workers, psychologists, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists and chaplains. They’ll be there for you through your care. We also offer survivorship and cancer prevention services.
