About Me
I am originally from rural Virginia but have found my home in Jacksonville as the majority of my family lives in the surrounding area. I thrive in high-energy atmospheres including the city as well as inpatient medicine. When I’m not in the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my cats, going to the beach, hot yoga, cycling classes and listening to live music.
Inpatient medicine is demanding and fast-paced, however, I always make an effort to get to know my patients on a more personal level and give them the attention to detail that they deserve. I’m extremely passionate about health literacy and have found more positive outcomes when patients understand their diagnosis, ways to treat their disease and manage symptoms in a language they understand.
